One IFC is the first tower of the International Finance Centre, at 1 Harbour View Street. It is 210 metres over 39 storeys, with four trading floors, and it opened on 6 July 1998 to a design by Cesar Pelli. IFC Development owns it, a consortium of Sun Hung Kai Properties, Henderson Land and Towngas. There are 784,000 sq ft in it, about 5,000 people work in it, and 18 high speed passenger lifts serve it in four zones.
Hong Kong station sits in the same complex, 10 metres from the building, so the Airport Express is under the same roof. The Executive Centre sends visitors out of Hong Kong Station Exit E. Central is 440 metres away, six minutes, for the Island and Tsuen Wan lines. The ifc mall is part of the complex and the Four Seasons is a covered walk from it.
The Executive Centre holds Level 20, 15,308 sq ft net, with one meeting room. The reception is marble, the design plain and corporate, the ceilings high, and there is a breakout area and pantry. A second centre from the same operator sits on Level 9 of this tower and it says the harbour is in view. Rooms come furnished and take one person to more than twenty, on a service agreement. The minimum is three months, the deposit two and the notice three. A room for one is HK$17,950 a month and a room for eight is 431 sq ft at HK$143,600. A seat in the members lounge is HK$9,000.
The Airport Express is under the same roof, which suits a team that travels. Level 20 has one meeting room. The same operator's Nexxus Building floors are 260 metres from the same station, at a lower price.
