Who Atlaspace Are

Atlaspace is the flexible workplace brand of ATLAS, a Grade A office operator from mainland China. The brand launched in 2017. Ron Chen Sze Long is founder and chief executive.

ATLAS runs projects in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Xi'an, Ho Chi Minh City and Hong Kong. The Hong Kong company is ATLASPACE (Hong Kong) Limited, and Tsim Sha Tsui is its one Hong Kong floor. The group runs its buildings on a hotel management model, with its own food, lifestyle, sport and art brands attached.

For a tenant, that means the service is run like a hotel and the suites are sized like a conventional office. A mainland company also gets a brand its own head office already knows.

Where They Are In Hong Kong

One address: 16/F, Sun Life Tower, The Gateway, 15 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. The Gateway is the office half of Harbour City, on Canton Road.

Sun Life Tower, also called The Gateway Tower 5, was finished in 1999 and is 16 storeys, so Atlaspace has the top floor. A typical floor is 23,800 square feet, large by Hong Kong standards, which is why a single tenant can take a big suite here. Four passenger lifts serve the tower, and it is Grade A under one landlord, Harbour City.

Street level is the Gateway Arcade: shops, restaurants and a supermarket, all under cover. The rest of Harbour City runs west to the Star Ferry pier and the bus terminus.

Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Exit A1 is about eight minutes on foot along Haiphong Road. East Tsim Sha Tsui Exit L5 comes out at the Harbour City end. West Kowloon station is about ten minutes' walk. That is the station for the high speed trains to the mainland.

What The Spaces Are Like

The floor is a big one, with a long reception and a lounge bar rather than a corridor. The finish is corporate premium with a hospitality overlay: a staffed bar, an open common space and a separate event space. Private offices run from three workstations to thirty, and there are more than 60 of them ready to use.

Atlaspace is very good at providing:

**A staffed barista bar.** The lounge has an in house barista making coffee and drinks to order, rather than a pantry with a kettle. It is useful for companies that receive clients in the afternoon.

**Meeting rooms that are ready to present.** Video and audio conferencing come as standard. The interactive screens mirror your laptop. The privacy glass switches on when the walls need to go opaque.

**Room for a team of thirty in one suite.** Suites run to thirty workstations on a single 23,800 square foot plate, which keeps a growing team together and out of a conventional lease.

What Atlaspace Costs

A seat in a private office is HK$4,700 a month at Sun Life Tower, and a room for four is HK$18,800 a month. Coworking space is sold on the same floor at HK$5,000 per person per month, which buys the lounge, the bar and the common areas.

The minimum term is three months, rather than the three year lease a conventional office needs. The deposit is two months and the notice period is three months.

Who Atlaspace Suits

Atlaspace suits mid sized corporate teams that want a large private suite in a Grade A Tsim Sha Tsui tower. A single person will find more company on a smaller, busier floor elsewhere.

That takes in a lot of businesses: regional offices, back office teams and professional firms. It also suits any company of three to thirty who would rather have one suite than a conventional lease. Mainland Chinese firms opening a Hong Kong office are a large part of the membership.

It also suits teams of ten to thirty who receive clients. The bar and the event space cover entertaining, and Harbour City covers lunch.
