Cheung Kong completed the complex in 1980, and Tower 2 rises 26 storeys above a three floor shopping podium that holds banks, clinics and fast food, including the HKU SPACE Admiralty Learning Centre. From the lobby, the Queensway Plaza walkway runs under cover to United Centre, Lippo Centre, Far East Finance Centre and on to Pacific Place.
Eight passenger lifts and one cargo lift serve the tower, and central air conditioning runs through business hours. Admiralty station is 100 metres away, one minute on foot. Four lines meet below the building: Island, Tsuen Wan, South Island and East Rail. The East Rail extension crossed the harbour in May 2022, so Kowloon Tong and Sha Tin are one ride with no change. Central is 930 metres west, twelve minutes by walkway.
