Who Arcc Spaces Are

Arcc Spaces started in Singapore and is still run from there. The first centre opened at Suntec City in 2003. The company is privately held.

It now runs offices in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong. Hong Kong is one centre, in Lai Chi Kok. Older listings for it appear under the group's other name, Arcc Offices, which is the same company.

Billion Plaza 2 was finished in 2014. It is Grade A, which in Hong Kong means a modern tower with central air conditioning and professional management. It runs to 31 storeys and about 340,000 square feet. A whole floor is 11,600 square feet. Five passenger lifts and one cargo lift serve the building. A professional property firm manages it. Owls Coffee is at Shop 1 on the ground floor, open from half past eight on weekdays.

Lai Chi Kok station is about 300 metres away, four minutes on foot from Exit D2. D2 Place One and Two are two streets over, on Cheung Yee Street and Cheung Shun Street, with shops and restaurants. Buses along Cheung Sha Wan Road reach Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui.

What The Spaces Are Like

The 23rd floor has a staffed reception. Rooms are private and lockable, with key card entry. There are meeting rooms, breakout areas and a pantry, and the windows look out over western Kowloon.

Every room comes furnished, with high speed broadband and a community manager on the floor. Reception is open Monday to Friday, nine to six.

Arcc Spaces is very good at providing:

**A server room with its own power supply.** You can rack your own hardware on site and keep it running through a building power event. This suits businesses that cannot put their equipment in a cupboard. Arcc says it works to the PCI Data Security Standard, the rule set the card industry uses for handling payment data.

**Bilingual reception that does the admin.** The reception team works in English and Chinese. It handles secretarial work, translation and IT questions, so a small team does not need to hire for any of it.

**A purpose built office tower, not a converted factory.** Much of the flexible space in this part of Kowloon sits in renovated 1970s industrial blocks. Billion Plaza 2 was built as offices in 2014, with five passenger lifts and 11,600 square foot floors.

What Arcc Spaces Costs

A room for four at Billion Plaza 2 is HK$3,000 a month. That works out at HK$750 per person. The figure buys the whole room, not one space in an office shared with other companies.

Arcc Spaces sells private rooms here. Meeting rooms are booked by the hour.

The contract runs from three months. The deposit is two months and the notice period is three months.
