Hysan Place is the 40 floor tower at 500 Hennessy Road that Hysan Development opened on 10 August 2012. Kohn Pedersen Fox designed it, with DLN Architects as architect of record. It holds about 716,000 sq ft, with 15 levels of offices from the 20th floor up and nearly 120 shops and restaurants across 17 retail floors below. Eslite's bookshop takes three of those floors. It was the first building in Hong Kong pre-certified LEED Platinum, and it also holds BEAM Plus Platinum. There are garden floors on Levels 4 and 6.
The tower connects directly to Causeway Bay station, 60 metres and one minute from the office lifts, through Exit F2. That makes it the closest office address to the station in the district. The Island line runs one stop west to Wan Chai and three to Central. The building holds 66 car parking spaces.
Signature takes Levels 31 and 32, 32,000 sq ft in all, of which 28,600 sq ft is private offices and 3,400 sq ft a business club. Hysan puts the clear headroom at 3.10 metres, and a typical office floor runs 15,993 to 16,481 sq ft lettable at about 92% usable. Rooms come furnished on a three month minimum. A room for one is HK$4,200 a month, a room for four is 86 sq ft and HK$16,800, and a seat on the coworking floor is HK$4,000.
The office lobby is separate from the mall, and the office lifts are not the mall lifts. The clear headroom is 3.10 metres, against 2.1 to 2.3 metres in the older buildings a street away. The suites price as one whole room. Wan Chai is one stop west for a quieter address. Lunch covers everything from the Sogo basement to the cafes on Jardine's Crescent.
