About Garage Society
Who Garage Society Are
Garage Society was founded in Hong Kong in 2014 by Elaine Tsung. She is still the chief executive, and she co-founded The Hive two years earlier. There are four centres, all on Hong Kong Island. The brand once ran sites in several Asian countries and now trades in Hong Kong only.
For a tenant, that means one membership covers all four. A member in Wan Chai can spend Thursday in Central and Friday in Sheung Wan.
Where They Are In Hong Kong
Four centres in four districts, all on Hong Kong Island: Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and Sheung Wan.
Central is Dina House on Duddell Street, five minutes from Central station, among the law firms and the finance houses. The stone steps at the end of that street carry the last four gas street lamps in Hong Kong, declared a monument in 1979.
Wan Chai is Beverly House on Lockhart Road, two minutes from the station, over three low floors. One of those floors is event space.
Causeway Bay is Tower 535 on Jaffe Road, four minutes from the station, on two floors above the shopping streets.
Sheung Wan is the 25th and 26th floors of Arion Commercial Centre on Queen's Road West, seven minutes from the station.
The four sit close together on the Island line, so moving between them is practical.
What The Spaces Are Like
The centres are contemporary and design led rather than corporate. Each one has a staffed reception, a lounge, meeting rooms, a stocked pantry, lockers, daily cleaning and 24 hour access for members.
Three things separate Garage Society from the towers:
**Pets are welcome.** Garage Society publishes a pet friendly policy at all four centres. Almost no Grade A building in Hong Kong allows it.
**A rooftop balcony in Sheung Wan.** Open air on the 26th floor, used for breaks and for evening events. Outdoor space of any kind is rare in Hong Kong flexible offices.
**Printing is included.** It comes with the membership at all four centres rather than being metered and billed.
