About Regus

Who Regus Are

Regus started in Brussels in 1989. Mark Dixon founded it. The idea was an office you rent by the month, furnished and staffed, instead of a lease you sign for years.

Regus is now one of four workspace brands run by IWG. Together they cover more than 4,000 locations in 120 countries.

A Regus agreement includes use of the business lounges at any Regus in the world. That holds in Shenzhen, Singapore, London and every other Regus city. For a company whose people travel, this is a practical benefit.

Where They Are In Hong Kong

Eleven centres across seven districts: Central, Sheung Wan, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok and West Kowloon. Six are on Hong Kong Island and five in Kowloon.

In Mong Kok, Regus takes the sixteenth and seventeenth floors of 700 Nathan Road, a 23 storey tower above Mong Kok station. The basement connects to Exit B4. The second Mong Kok address, Grand Century Place, is a minute from Mong Kok East station and runs to about 21,000 square feet.

In Central, Regus is on the 62nd and 66th floors of The Center, the 73 storey tower at 99 Queen's Road Central. Regus describes the lounge there as marble floored, and many rooms look out over the harbour. The other two Central addresses are 8 Wyndham Street and Grand Millennium Plaza. Wyndham Street is five minutes uphill from Central station. Grand Millennium Plaza, on Queen's Road Central, is four minutes from Sheung Wan station.

Across the harbour, the ICC centre is three minutes from Kowloon station, where the Airport Express leaves for Chek Lap Kok. In Tsim Sha Tsui, China Hong Kong City stands on Canton Road above the China Ferry Terminal, close to the ferries to Macau and the mainland. The second Tsim Sha Tsui centre is on Observatory Road, nine minutes from Tsim Sha Tsui station.

Central Plaza in Wan Chai is four minutes from Exhibition Centre station. Lee Garden One is two minutes from Causeway Bay station.

What The Spaces Are Like

Each centre has a staffed reception and a lounge with windows facing the street or the harbour. Private rooms run around the edge of the floor, with meeting rooms, phone booths and a pantry in the middle. Regus builds every centre to one specification, so the Mong Kok floor is laid out and run the same way as the Central floor.

Every centre comes with furniture, fast internet, cleaning, utilities, 24 hour access, a staffed reception and use of the business lounge.

Three features are worth knowing:

**Rooms by the hour and by the day, at any centre.** You can book a meeting room or an office for a morning, whether or not you rent in that building. You pay for the hours you use.

**Space that grows with the team.** Regus adds rooms or takes them back inside the term rather than at the end of it. A team of six that becomes a team of twelve stays in the same building.

**High floors in well known towers.** The Center has rooms on the 62nd and 66th floors. The ICC centre is beside Kowloon station, in the tallest building in Hong Kong.

What Regus Costs

A seat in a private office starts at HK$3,500 a month. That is the asking price at China Hong Kong City and at 8 Observatory Road, both in Tsim Sha Tsui. The highest opening price is HK$7,500, at The Center in Central. The service is the same at both ends. The difference is the address and the floor.

A room for four runs from HK$14,000 in Tsim Sha Tsui to HK$30,000 at The Center.

Coworking space is sold at all eleven centres. It starts at HK$3,500 a month per person at 8 Observatory Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, and reaches HK$7,580 at 8 Wyndham Street in Central. Six of the eleven ask HK$4,000.

Meeting rooms are booked by the hour and charged on top of the rent, at any centre in the network.

The shortest contract is three months. The deposit is two months and the notice period is three months. Rooms come furnished and serviced, so there is no fit-out at the start and no reinstatement at the end.

Who Regus Suits

Regus suits companies that want a reliable, professional office in almost any district of Hong Kong.

That covers a wide range of people. Branch offices of overseas companies, small firms, sales teams, consultants and anyone from one person up to a full floor. What they have in common is wanting an office that works on the first morning, with no fit-out to manage and no furniture to buy.

It also suits companies whose staff travel, because lounge access in 120 countries is part of the agreement.

[Garage Society](/operators/garage-society/) puts more design into a floor. [The Executive Centre](/operators/executive-centre/) is the premium end of the Hong Kong market. Regus suits companies that want a recognised address and the same service in every city.
