Who Sky Business Centre Are

Sky Business Centre opened its first Hong Kong centre in 2011. It is an independent company, privately held, trading as Sky Business Centre Ltd. It works only in Hong Kong.

There are two centres. One is at Silvercord Tower 2 in Tsim Sha Tsui, the other on Level 34 of Tower One at Times Square in Causeway Bay. Sky sells serviced offices, coworking space memberships, meeting rooms, event space and secretarial support.

For a tenant, that means both addresses are run by the same small team, to the same standard. Moving from one to the other does not change your supplier, your contract or the people who answer the phone.

Where They Are In Hong Kong

Two buildings, one on each side of the harbour.

The Tsim Sha Tsui centre is at 701, 7/F, Tower 2 of Silvercord, 30 Canton Road, on the corner of Haiphong Road. Silvercord Tower 2 is a 17-storey Grade A tower that opened in 1984, with eight passenger lifts and one cargo lift. It stands on a six-floor shopping mall and is run by the Harbour City management team. Tsim Sha Tsui station Exit A1 is five minutes away on foot. Sky says the floor looks out over Kowloon Park.

The Causeway Bay centre is on Level 34 of Tower One, Times Square, 1 Matheson Street. Tower One was finished in 1993 and stands 46 floors and about 194 metres tall. It has 15 passenger lifts and one cargo lift, and a typical floor of about 17,000 square feet. The office floors start at the 13th, above the Times Square mall. A tunnel runs from Causeway Bay station Exit A into the complex, so you reach the lift lobby without going outside. Level 34 is a high floor for Causeway Bay, and the tenants around you are accountants, lawyers and finance firms.

What The Spaces Are Like

Both are small floors finished to a corporate standard, with a reception team greeting visitors at the front. Sky describes the offices as premium and efficient, with high-quality fittings and a contemporary design. Rooms run from space for one person to a room for a team of twenty or more.

Both centres come with 24 hour access, secured wifi, IT support, housekeeping, office supplies, business-class printers, phone booths, mail and courier handling, a business concierge and free drinks.

Three things Sky does unusually well:

**A separate network for every office.** Sky puts each private office on its own VLAN, so your traffic runs on a private lane rather than sharing one flat network with the whole floor. That matters for companies that hold client data.

**A shopping mall underneath at both addresses.** Silvercord's mall runs over six floors on Canton Road. Times Square is one of the busiest retail complexes on Hong Kong Island. Lunch, a bank, a courier and somewhere to take a client are all inside the building.

**Meeting rooms for two to twenty people, by the hour.** Both centres hire rooms hourly, with video conferencing, 60 inch screens and projectors. A team of four can rent a small room and still bring twenty people in for a board meeting or a training day.

What Sky Business Centre Costs

A seat in a private office starts at HK$3,450 a month at Silvercord Tower 2 in Tsim Sha Tsui. The Causeway Bay floor at Times Square opens at HK$4,500. The service is the same in both. What changes is the address and the height.

The pattern holds as teams get larger. A room for four is HK$13,800 at Silvercord Tower 2 and HK$18,000 at Times Square.

Coworking space is sold at both centres, at the same rate:

Meeting rooms are hired by the hour rather than given as a monthly allowance. They take two to twenty people.

The minimum term is three months. The deposit is two months and the notice period is three months.

Who Sky Business Centre Suits

Sky Business Centre suits small teams that want a Grade A retail-district address and a short chain of command.

That covers a lot of people. Professional practices, representative offices of overseas firms, consultants, and any team from one person to a full room. What they have in common is wanting a private room with a door, in a building their clients already know, without running the office themselves.

It also suits companies for whom height and convenience matter. Level 34 at Times Square is a real view of Causeway Bay, and the Silvercord floor looks over Kowloon Park.
