WeWork at 9 Queens Road

9 Queen's Road Central is a 39 floor tower, 187 metres tall, built in an Art Deco manner by Wong Tung and Partners and opened in October 1991. Hongkong Land owns it. Shops fill the podium at the base and the office floors sit above. The building joins the Central Elevated Walkway directly, which is the covered footbridge network running through this part of the district, and The Landmark sits on the same network.

Central station is 270 metres away, three minutes on foot, out of Exit K, for the Island and Tsuen Wan lines. Hong Kong station is 640 metres, eight minutes, for the Airport Express and the Tung Chung line.

WeWork runs private offices and shared space here. The layout is the one the operator uses everywhere: glass walled private rooms around the edge, a large communal lounge with coffee and beer on tap, phone booths and benches for members without a room. Rooms are furnished and sized from one person to more than twenty. It is a service agreement rather than a lease: three months minimum, two months' deposit, three months' notice. A room for one is 93 sq ft at HK$4,950 a month, a room for ten is 215 sq ft at HK$40,000, and a seat in the shared area is HK$4,000. Meeting room hire and event space with production support are sold on top.
