Garage Society at Dina House

Dina House is part of Ruttonjee Centre at 3-11 Duddell Street, in Central. It was finished in 1986 and holds about 93,000 sq ft under a single owner. The ground and first floors are shops and the 19 office floors run from the second to the 20th. Four passenger lifts and one cargo lift serve them. The tenants are mostly banking, law and asset management firms.

Duddell Street runs from Queen's Road Central up to Ice House Street. Its granite steps, built between 1875 and 1889, and the four gas lamps above them have been a declared monument since 1979. They are the only working gas street lamps left in Hong Kong and they burn from six at night until six in the morning. Central station is 390 metres away, five minutes on foot, and Garage Society directs visitors out of the Landmark exit. Hong Kong station is 690 metres, nine minutes, for the Airport Express and the Tung Chung line.

Garage Society holds the 4th and 5th floors. The furnished rooms start at one person and go past twenty. It is a service agreement rather than a lease, with a three month minimum, two months' deposit and three months' notice. A room for one is 80 sq ft at HK$3,730 a month and a room for four is 110 sq ft at HK$14,920. A seat in the shared area is HK$5,000. One membership also opens Garage Society's Wan Chai, Sheung Wan and Causeway Bay sites, and the operator's pet policy is published rather than discretionary.
