The Center is the tower at 99 Queen's Road Central, 346 metres tall and 73 storeys. Cheung Kong and the Land Development Corporation built it between 1995 and 1998. Its 57 office floors are numbered from the ninth to the 79th, the floors are column free, and a standard one runs about 26,000 sq ft. At street level, Cheung Fat Garden is public open space. After dark the facade's bars of neon scroll through the colours of the spectrum.
Sheung Wan station is 410 metres away, five minutes on foot, on the Island line. Hong Kong station is 490 metres away, six minutes, for the Airport Express and the Tung Chung line. Central is five minutes out of Exit A, B or C. Central Market is next door at 93 Queen's Road Central, with more than 100 food and retail stalls.
Bela Offices holds the 48th floor. It puts more than 50 private offices on it, with a business lounge of 2,000 sq ft that Bela says looks out over Victoria Harbour. The rooms are furnished and hold one person to more than twenty. A service agreement covers them, three months at the shortest, with two months' deposit and three months' notice. The Center runs a sky lobby, so reaching the 48th floor means changing lifts part way up, including for guests. The lobby is off Queen's Road Central rather than through a mall.
