Getting there
Fortress Hill station, on the Island line, is 160 metres from the tower, about two minutes on foot. Central is five stops west with no change, and Causeway Bay is three.
One thing surprises people. Despite the district name, the building is not at North Point station. That station is one stop east, and it is the cross-platform interchange with the Tseung Kwan O line, so clients in Kowloon East reach you on one train. Ferries from the piers nearby cross to Hung Hom, Kowloon City and Kwun Tong, and trams run the length of King's Road.
Who it suits
You get a high floor and a real view. The tower is 180 metres tall, with the harbour on one side and Victoria Park on the other, and the desk costs about half what a room in the same building does.
If you work in insurance or financial services, your contacts are close. American International Assurance, the company the tower is named for, works from twelve of its floors.
And daily life is easy here. The Chun Yeung Street market, the shops along King's Road and the ferry piers all sit within a few minutes of the desk.
