Who Eaton Club Are

Eaton Club was started in Hong Kong in 2016 by Great Eagle Holdings, the property group behind the Langham hotels. Its first club opened in Central, in Champion Tower at Three Garden Road.

There are three clubs today, all in Hong Kong. The Wan Chai one opened in December 2020 and takes a whole floor.

For a tenant, that means the landlord is running the club. A team that outgrows its room can be moved into ordinary office space in the same tower, keeping the address and the commute. An operator that rents its floors from someone else cannot offer that.

Where They Are In Hong Kong

Three buildings across three districts, each one on an MTR station.

The Central club takes Levels 5 and 10 of Champion Tower at 3 Garden Road. Champion Tower is the taller of the two wings at Three Garden Road, 47 storeys finished in 1992, designed by Rocco Design Architects. Central station is seven minutes away, and the Peak Tram terminus is at the bottom of Garden Road. Level 5 holds the members lounge, the bar and about 4,500 square feet of event space with a built-in LED wall.

The Wan Chai club takes the whole of Level 3 at Great Eagle Centre, 23 Harbour Road. It is a Grade A harbourfront building from 1983, two minutes from Exhibition Centre station. An elevated walkway runs to the Convention and Exhibition Centre and on to Wan Chai station. Some of the offices and meeting rooms look straight down Victoria Harbour. About 3,500 square feet of it is event space.

The Kowloon club takes Levels 5, 48 and 49 of Langham Place Office Tower at 8 Argyle Street, Mong Kok. The tower is 59 storeys and 255 metres, finished in 2004, and Mong Kok station Exit C3 runs into the building under cover. Level 5 is the executive lounge. The two high floors hold the workspace and a function room that seats 160.

What The Spaces Are Like

Each club has a marble reception and a lounge rather than a bank of workstations. The fit-out is refined and corporate rather than playful: ergonomic furniture, quiet zones, pantries, phone booths and wide windows.

Every centre comes with the staffed lounge, high speed wifi, phone booths, meeting room access, audio visual equipment, secretarial support, a wellness programme and fitness facilities, and the events programme. One membership covers all three clubs, so a Mong Kok member can work a day in Central.

Eaton Club is very good at three things:

**Food and drink on site.** The Central club runs a staffed kitchen and a fully stocked bar on Level 5. Breakfast is 8:30 to 10:30, lunch is 12:00 to 2:00, and happy hour starts at 4:00 from Monday to Friday. Coffee, dim sum, set lunches and canapes, eat in or take away. A first meeting can happen over lunch without leaving the floor.

**Event space in every building.** Central has about 4,500 square feet with an LED wall. Wan Chai has about 3,500 square feet beside the Convention Centre. Mong Kok has a 49th floor room for 160 people. Members book all three at a discounted rate.

**Room to grow without moving.** The towers belong to the same group as the club, so more space in the same building is a conversation rather than a search. Your address, your phone number and your staff's journey to work all stay the same.

What Eaton Club Costs

A seat in a private office starts at HK$3,950 a month at Great Eagle Centre in Wan Chai. Langham Place in Mong Kok is HK$4,950. Three Garden Road in Central is HK$6,000, which is what a Garden Road address costs.

A room for four runs from HK$15,800 at Great Eagle Centre to HK$24,000 at Three Garden Road, with Langham Place at HK$19,800 in between.

Coworking space is sold at all three clubs:

That rate carries the club with it: the lounge, the events and all three buildings.

Meeting rooms seat four to twelve people and are booked by the hour, on top of the rent. Event space is charged separately, at a members rate.

Contracts run from three months, rather than the three year lease a conventional office needs. The deposit is two months and the notice period is three months.

Who Eaton Club Suits

Eaton Club suits teams who bring clients into the office.

That covers a lot of people. Finance and fintech firms, insurers, lawyers, IT and advertising businesses, e-commerce teams, and mainland or overseas companies opening a Hong Kong office.

It also suits companies for whom entertaining is part of the job. Lunch, a drink after work and a room for 160 people are all in the building. It suits companies that will need more space within a year or two, because the group that owns the tower can give it to them upstairs.
